Starter checklist — what to gather before submitting
- Partner list — names of every trading partner you need to connect with
- Document types — 850, 810, 856, 997/999, 855, other
- Current provider — who handles your EDI today (if anyone)
- Protocol requirements — AS2, SFTP, VAN, or unknown
- Credentials — what's already issued, what needs to be issued
- Testing contact — who at each partner runs UAT
- Go-live timeline — target dates or windows
- Internal owner — who at your company owns the project
- Partner owner — who at each partner owns the connection
